On April 10, 2018, Microsoft in Partnership with Tek Experts Launched in Nigeria’s tech ecosystem a Microsoft Customer Service Support site in Lagos Nigeria. The new site is a collaboration between Tek Experts, a global leader in customer technical support and Microsoft. 200 Nigerian youths have been recruited by Tek Experts and will support Azure customers in the EMEA region.
The launch event held at the Wings, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island Lagos, site of Tek Experts had +400 guest in attendance was led by founder of Tek Experts, Yaniv Natan with on ground support from CVP Customer Service & Support, Microsoft, Aileen Allkins, WW Support Leader C & E, Yvette Smith and Country GM of Nigeria, Akin Banuso. Also in attendance to support were the Commissioner for Science and Technology, Lagos State who represented the Governor of the State and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos and notable members of the Academia in Nigeria. This is the first of many opportunities to bring technical jobs, with career growth, to the continent of Africa, serving our customers around the world. This is a win for Africa, a win for our customers and a win for Microsoft.
